September wasn't a big white wedding

September at The Altar Electric wasn't one long big white wedding with the names changed. This is five of those days. The through-line is simple. They were non-traditional. They were intimate where the couple asked for intimate, or where the shape was an elopement. They were not a ballroom script.

Sophie and Andy, Saturday 5 September, 3pm. A Little More Action, with Sarah. They met at the Swan Hotel. They like travel and going to pubs, and they wanted to recreate some Vegas magic. Logan, also called The Knave, was the DJ.

Jodi and Asher, Saturday 12 September, 5.30pm. Viva Las Abbotsford, Sarah again. They met during a photoshoot in Sydney. Travel and exploring are their pace, and they wanted the wedding fun, different, and memorable. They sent their own projection video for the ceremony.

Alysha and Jake, Sunday 13 September, midday. Shotgun, with Dee. They met at a mutual friend's party. PlayStation, drives, movies, pickleball, and a ceremony they wanted non-traditional. Guests were part of the plan, and so was a bar tab. Not witness-only.

Maddi and Adam, Saturday 19 September, 4pm. Can I Get a Witness. Anthony called it an elopement. They met on New Year's Eve in their hometown, they like parties and DJ gigs, and they wanted it fun, funky, and effortless. They kept the elopement a surprise until afterwards, and they asked us to organise the two witnesses because they didn't have anyone they could ask beforehand.

Dani and Scott, Saturday 26 September, 2.30pm. Can I Get a Witness, with Dee. They met on Tinder, they enjoy adventures and travel, and they wanted an intimate, fun wedding. Dee told them it was a privilege marrying them and meeting their very fun witnesses. Lilli Waters was the photographer. On 30 September, Danielle wrote: "Just wanted to say a huge thank you again for Saturday! We had the absolute best day and honestly couldn’t have asked for anything more"

Five weddings, one chapel. Intimate isn't a slogan we pasted over the whole month. It's what Dani and Scott asked for, and it's the shape of Maddi and Adam's surprise elopement. The other three were still nowhere near a big white wedding. That's the month.
